Hyundai New Zealand well-positioned for Clean Car Discount changes with range of low and zero emission vehicles available for immediate delivery

The New Zealand Government has announced changes to its Clean Car Discount programme including changes to its rebates and fees effective July 1, 2023. As a self-financing scheme, regular review and adjustment of the fees are necessary to ensure that the scheme's rebates and administration costs are adequately funded.

The upcoming changes include a decrease in the maximum rebate for new vehicles and an increase in the maximum fee. Additionally, the threshold for vehicles subject to fees will be reduced from 192 grams of CO2 per kilometre to 150 grams.
