Hyundai STARIA Load Hybrid Joins OCS Nationwide Fleet

Hyundai New Zealand is pleased to announce that OCS has become the first fleet customer in New Zealand to purchase the all-new Hyundai STARIA Load Hybrid, with vehicles delivered and set to be deployed across the company's nationwide operations.

The purchase marks a significant milestone for both organisations and highlights the growing demand for lower-emission transport solutions that deliver strong efficiency without compromising practicality, capability or driver comfort.

As one of New Zealand's leading facilities services providers, OCS operates a nationwide fleet supporting customers across a broad range of industries. The addition of the STARIA Load Hybrid aligns with the company's ongoing commitment to improving fleet efficiency while reducing its environmental footprint.

Powered by Hyundai's advanced 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol-hybrid powertrain, the STARIA Load Hybrid delivers a combined output of 180kW and 367Nm while achieving CO₂ emissions of 163g/km. By comparison, the diesel-powered STARIA Load emits 212g/km of CO₂, representing a reduction of approximately 23 percent.

Based on typical fleet operating distances, OCS's new hybrid vans have the potential to reduce fleet emissions by around 10 to 15 tonnes of CO₂ annually compared with equivalent diesel-powered vehicles, while continuing to deliver the practicality and capability required for everyday operations.
