Hyundai New Zealand Celebrates Graduates of MITO Level 5 Electric Vehicle Qualification

 19 March 2025 - Hyundai New Zealand is proud to congratulate three outstanding technicians on the successful completion of the MITO Level 5 Qualification in Electric Vehicle Automotive Engineering. Over the past year, these dedicated individuals have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing their expertise in the diagnosis and repair of electric vehicles.

MITO supports on-job learning for New Zealander’s working in practical fields, including the automotive industry. The following graduates have achieved the MITO Level 5 Qualification in Electric Vehicle Automotive Engineering qualification:

  • James George – Winger West Auckland
  • Adith Tjahjana – North Harbour Hyundai
  • Vince King – Hyundai Northland

This nationally recognised programme equips qualified automotive technicians with the skills and knowledge to safely inspect, service, and repair light electric vehicles. As the number of EVs has accelerated across New Zealand in recent years, this qualification ensures that our network is prepared to support customers in their transition to a more sustainable future.

Facilitated in collaboration between Hyundai New Zealand (HMNZ) and MITO, the course is a unique joint venture that reflects our shared commitment to future mobility and technician development. It is tailored to meet the specific needs of the New Zealand market and automotive industry, delivering practical, hands-on training that aligns with Hyundai’s world-class standards.
