Hyundai's IONIQ 6 Continues Award-Winning Streak  with Accolades for Design and Fleet appeal

Hyundai Motor’s all-electric IONIQ 6 has been honoured with more prestigious awards after being named the 'Best EV Compact Executive Car' at the Great British Fleet Awards and ‘Best Company Car’ at the 2023 Autocar Awards. These latest accolades adds to the IONIQ 6's impressive list of awards, which includes the recent 2023 World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle, and World Car Design of the Year awards.

 The IONIQ 6 triumphed over several rivals to emerge as the clear winner in the ‘Best EV Compact Executive Car’ category at the Great British Fleet Awards. Judges praised its all[1]round appeal for fleet customers, hailing its high level of specification and suite of innovative features in particular. The award recognised the IONIQ 6's long-distance EV performance, high-quality interior, and array of advanced tech, making it a thoroughly compelling choice for fleets. Further cementing its reputation as a compelling choice for fleets, it has also received immense praise at the 2023 Autocar Awards, picking up ‘Best Company Car’ for 2023.

The IONIQ 6’s sleek aerodynamic design has also won several other awards since its launch, including the iF Design Award’s ‘Gold’ award in the Product category. In addition, SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President, and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design Centre, was named World Person of the Year by the World Car Awards judges for his creative force behind the IONIQ 6’s design.

The iF Design Award jury praised IONIQ 6 for “a fresh and unique exterior aesthetic with subtle motifs that are carried over into a serene and relaxing interior. Its overall design identity is based on deep commitments to comfort, style, efficiency and environmental responsibility.”

 The IONIQ 6 is available now, with a recommended retail price starting from $79,990. Customers have a choice of two battery options: 53 kWh (Standard Range) or 77.4kWh (Long Range). Furthermore, you can choose an all-wheel drive version (AWD) with dual electric motors or a rear-wheel drive variant (2WD) with a single electric motor. The 77.4 kWh battery delivers 239 kW with 605Nm in the AWD variant and 168 kW with 350Nm in the 2WD variant. The 53 kWh battery is available only with the rear-wheel drive variant (2WD) and provides 111 kW with 350Nm. All models feature the E-GMP platform’s standard 800v charging system providing 350kW ultra-fast charger compatibility.
