New Zealand's first hydrogen powered light-duty truck has arrived.
The introduction of the Hyundai MIGHTY Fuel Cell hydrogen truck marks a significant milestone for our company as we advance towards a future of zero-emission transportation.
With models like the XCIENT, NEXO, and now the MIGHTY FCEV, Hyundai is leading the way in recognizing hydrogen's potential as an alternative energy source capable of replacing fossil fuels for a more sustainable future. The MIGHTY hydrogen truck showcases hydrogen's viability as a reliable and future-forward replacement for traditional diesel light-duty trucks, offering a longer range and shorter refueling times.
We will initially bring one MIGHTY fuel cell truck as an early evaluation vehicle. Over the coming 12 months, Hyundai New Zealand and some key customers will evaluate performance in the New Zealand environment, showcase the advantages of hydrogen, and gain important metrics for a future introduction into our range.
