Six SRS airbags
Passenger safety is further enhanced in the event of a frontal or side impact with six airbags on all models: dual front, dual side and dual side-to-rear roof curtain airbags. Front passengers also feature active head restraints, which provide better neck support by moving forward instantaneously in the event of a rear-end collision.
ix35. Safety
In crash safety tests conducted in-house the ix35 SUV scores a five-star rating in Euro NCAP testing for both frontal and side impacts. To reduce the risk of accidents while moving in reverse gear, a rear view camera is built into the tailgate of the SUV and the camera is displayed on a 3.5 inch colour display integrated into the rear-view mirror (Elite Variants only).
In addition to 4WD capability (optional), ix35’s credentials are strengthened with Downhill Brake Control which promotes safer travel down steep slopes. Elongated flush-mounted headlamps not only add a strong sense of style but also feature projector beam lenses for improved night-time driving safety.
