Spirit of Adventure

We love the Spirit of Adventure.

In fact several of us got the opportunity to sail aboard The Spirit of New Zealand ship in our distant youth. We think it is one of the most amazing adventures any young person can have.

This unique sailing programme was set up in the 1960’s and over the years more than 75,000 young kiwis have been on board. There they learn to sail a ship, to be more self-reliant, more confident and they develop life-long friends.

They come back somehow taller and certainly braver. With the support of Hyundai New Zealand, the Spirit of Adventure is making a positive contribution to the next generation of Kiwis.

As part of Hyundai New Zealand’s sponsorship of the Spirit of Adventure, Hyundai dealerships will host sponsored sailings throughout the year for Hyundai VIPs. 

Details of 2013 SoAT dealer sailings are below:

• Sunday 6^th January 2013 - Opua Wharf, Bay of Islands
• Saturday 19^th January 2013 - Queens Wharf, Wellington
• Wednesday 13^th February 2013 - Lyttelton, Christchurch 
• Saturday 16^th February 2013 - Fryatt Street Wharf, Dunedin  
• Tuesday 26^th February 2013 - Town Wharf, Bluff
