NZ Young Farmer Contest

Being 100% New Zealand owned and operated, Hyundai New Zealand was proud to continue their support of the National Bank Young Farmer Competition in 2010, and see New Zealand's best farming talent battle it out to win the Grand Final this year.
The 2010 Grand Final in Gore saw Tasman finalist, Grant McNaughton, walk away as the New Zealand Young Farmer of the year, in a close clinch with the local favourite and youngest contestant, Pete Gardyne. The Hyundai Agrisports champion was also found, with Aorangi finalist, Andrew Scott, winning the title when the finalist's practical skills were put to the test in the grueling Head to Head competition.
Supporting New Zealand's next generation of Young Farmers coincides with Hyundai's firm focus on the importance of New Zealand's rural community to our country. In recognition of this, Hyundai revved up their commitment this year. The overall contest winner was awarded a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe, while 1 year's complimentary use of a Santa Fe was also awarded to the Hyundai Agrisports Winner.
Providing family fun for the local communities was also important to Hyundai throughout the competition, with interactive Snakes and Ladders games, gumboot throws, hay bale races and fantastic competitions and prizes provided as entertainment at each event.
